Publication of manual trades under MiFiD II

MiFiD II which will enter into force on 3. January 2017, will introduce new requirements for publication of trades.

To members and vendors on Oslo Børs,

MiFiD II which will enter into force on 3. January 2017, will introduce new requirements for publication of trades. The new requirements entails that all manual trades need to be reported by market participants to an Approved Publication Arrangement (APA). The APA will be responsible for making this information available to the market. Each APA needs to have authorization by the local competent authority.

We would like to inform you that Oslo Børs will apply for authorization as APA as soon as applications are accepted. Oslo Børs’ future service will as a minimum include trades in instruments listed on Oslo Børs. The service will be using the existing API for reporting trades with the result being that members will continue to be able to report manual trades using the same interfaces as currently used and by that fulfill the requirements in MIFiD II to publish trades via an APA.
